Qualification:

  • B.E / BSc (Mechanical Engineering)

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years plus relevant post qualification experience in oil & gas, fertilizers, chemical industry or any other reputed industry.

Skills:

  • Must possess strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience in top and major overhauling of engines, gas compressors, pumps, and workshop equipment.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with maintenance and troubleshooting experience on Waukesha, Caterpillar (CAT), AJAX, Cummins (both gas and diesel generator sets).
  • Should be well-versed in ERP-based inventory and maintenance management systems.
  • Strong understanding of team leadership, budgeting, and Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) practices are essential.
  • Must be self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Implement preventive maintenance plans and carry out routine, top, and major overhauls of engines, gas compressors, pumps, and other plant equipment.
  • Conduct regular visual and physical inspections of equipment; promptly troubleshoot and resolve breakdowns or malfunctions.
  • Manage spare parts inventory; raise material indents in accordance with job and maintenance requirements.
  • Coordinate with the Process Department for Annual Turnaround (ATA) planning and execution activities.
  • Prepare and manage maintenance budgets, including overhauls, revenue expenditures, and capital projects.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, material movements, and logistics.
  • Execute replacement, up-gradation, and commissioning activities for engines and compressors.
  • Provide timely updates to management on shutdown-related activities and job progress.
  • Assist in internal and third-party audits and inspection preparations.
  • Keep detailed and updated maintenance history of all plant equipment and machinery.
  • Review and ensure compliance with safe operating procedures, especially for equipment handling sour or residual gases.
  • Enforce the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adherence to Permit to Work (PTW) systems.
  • Support field operations and assist senior management with daily tasks and assignments.
  • Prepare daily and monthly maintenance reports, key performance indicators (KPIs), and maintain contractor price comparisons.
