About the Organization:

Pak Mission Society (PMS) is a national relief and development organization established in 2004 and registered on 13 February 2008 under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860 at the Office of the Provincial Registrar Joint Stock Companies & Societies, Peshawar, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan.

Pak Mission Society was initiated by a group of Christian professionals whose collective vision was to bring hope and love by responding to human suffering and disasters through emergency relief efforts and delivering long-term rehabilitation and development programs.

Pak Mission Society was established to reach and serve unreached and underprivileged communities regardless of race, gender, ethnicity, class, religion, and social background.

The organization aims to catalyse holistic transformation and development through relationships based on dignity and respect and the transparent, fair, rights-based allocation of relief and development resources.

Since its inception, Pak Mission Society (PMS) has focused on working with communities in Pakistan’s most difficult-to-access and impoverished areas such as District Kohistan and District Shangla in the north of Pakistan, District Sanghar in Sindh, District Rajanpur in Punjab, District Peshawar in KP and District Lasbella in Balochistan.

About the Education Portfolio:

Education is a core and growing area of Pak Mission Society’s work, with community-based learning, school improvement, teacher development, girls’ education and climate education initiatives implemented in Kohistan, Shangla, Mansehra and other areas of Pakistan. The Education Specialist position is a Head Office technical position that serves the whole PMS education portfolio rather than a single project. It is currently supported by the Inclusive Education Recovery and Girls’ Empowerment Initiative in Kohistan, funded by Kindermissionswerk (KMW), a 36-month project (2026–2029) that establishes 20 Community Learning and Reintegration Centres for 2,000 out-of-school children (65% girls), improves 20 government schools, trains and mentors 150 teachers, establishes Girls’ STEAM Clubs and mobilizes mothers, School Management Committees, Jirga elders and religious leaders in support of girls’ education. This project provides the anchor for the position, while the Education Specialist is expected to grow and diversify the education portfolio through new funding, partnerships and technically strong programming.

Job Summary:

The Education Specialist will be the technical lead for education at PMS Head Office in Islamabad, responsible for ensuring that the education portfolio is technically strong, well positioned and expanded. The Education Specialist will lead resource mobilization and networking in the education sector, develop concept notes and proposals, carry out technical and context assessments, and provide technical direction and quality assurance to education projects, starting with the Inclusive Education Recovery and Girls’ Empowerment Initiative in Kohistan. The position will also support donor reporting, research, policy advocacy and capacity building of project teams, so that PMS education programming achieves quality learning outcomes for out-of-school and marginalized children, especially girls, and grows in scale and funding.
