Job Description:

1. Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts regularly.
2. Ensure compliance with all local, national, and donor-specific financial regulations.
3. Work closely with the auditor by assembling and providing all necessary financial documents and information for auditing.
4. Stay up-to-date on relevant accounting practices and donor regulations in the development sector.
5. Develop and maintain budgets in coordination with finance and program teams.
6. Forecast financial performance and cash flow for projects.
7. Assist in the preparation of financial proposals.
8. Track project expenditures and ensure they align with approved budgets.
9. Monitor and report on cost variances, identifying areas of financial risk.
10. Implement cost control measures to mitigate financial risks.
11. Prepare detailed financial reports for projects.
12. Provide regular updates to project managers and senior management on project financial status.
13. Support internal and external audits related to project financials.
14. Ensure all financial practices comply with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and accounting standards.
15. Maintain comprehensive and organized project financial records.
16. Collaborate with procurement, HR, and other departments to ensure cohesive project management.
17. Ensure maximum compliance of tax laws, especially with withholding taxes (Income & GST).
