THE POSITION:

 

This position is located at District office and reports to the District Programme Manager.

 

SIGNIFICANCE OF THE POSITION:

S/he will be responsible for the effective implementation of Knowledge Management and Communication & Visibility activities at district level in line with approved strategies. This includes documenting field stories, supporting donor visibility, and promoting project impacts through print, social, and electronic media platforms. They will also regularly conduct field visits to identify and document their case studies and success. They will also ensure visibility of Donor’s in all community level events as per Donor’s C&V guidelines.

 

More Specifically:

 

Implementation of Knowledge Management and Communication & Visibility activities

  • Execute Knowledge Management and Communication & Visibility strategies in the assigned district.
  • Coordinate with field teams and community institutions to capture project outcomes, learnings, and human-interest stories.

 

Documentation and Storytelling

  • Conduct regular field visits to document case studies, success stories, video clips, photo essays, and testimonials.
  • Write compelling narratives and articles highlighting project impacts, beneficiary voices, and transformation journeys.
  • Submit written and visual content to the Head Office C&V focal person for validation and inclusion in donor and program reporting.

 

Visibility and Branding

  • Ensure EU and PPAF visibility in all district and community-level project activities, in compliance with EU's Communication & Visibility guidelines.
  • Monitor and report on the correct use of logos, banners, and other branding materials during trainings, distributions, and public events.

Social, Print & Electronic Media Engagement

  • Provide support in developing content (photos, captions, short videos) for official Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn pages.
  • Liaise with local print and electronic media outlets to cover major program activities and events for broader public visibility.
  • Draft and circulate press releases, feature stories, and event summaries in local newspapers, radio, and TV, in coordination with the HO C&V team.

 

Content Support for Reporting

  • Provide written content, photos, and field updates for donor reports, newsletters, social media posts, and communication products.
  • Maintain a repository of high-quality images, testimonials, and quotes from the district.

 

Event Coverage and Communication Support

  • Lead C&V support during major events at the district level—community outreach, inauguration ceremonies, training sessions, etc.
  • Capture photos, audience feedback, quotes, and short interviews for post-event coverage and donor visibility.
  • Record short testimonial videos and snippets suitable for electronic and social media publication.

 

INTERNAL/EXTERNAL INTERACTIONS internally with all District Project staff within District office and Head office concern staff.

 EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • At least Bachelor’s degree (Bachelor degree in relevant filed will be preferred)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience (Experience in communications, storytelling, documentation, or development reporting will be preferred).
  • Familiarity with donor visibility guidelines will be an asset.
  • Experience working with rural communities, and knowledge of the local language and culture, is preferred.

 

Skills:

  • Excellent writing and photography skills with a strong ability to capture human-interest stories.
