Job Description
Position Objective: A USAID funded project is seeking a Provincial Coordinator for Sindh province. This role involves leading project activities, guiding the field team, and liaising with Provincial TB control and health authorities to ensure effective implementation and alignment with project goals.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Planning and Execution:
- Direct and oversee planning, implementation, and reporting of project activities at the provincial level in line with the approved annual implementation plan under the guidance of the COP/DCOP.
- Develop and manage a detailed district wise workplan, including timelines, in collaboration with district teams.
2. Field Team Management:
- Mentor and lead district teams, providing support and ensuring adherence to the Annual Implementation Plan.
- Regularly develop and monitor district-based work plans target vs achievement.
3. Program Management and Oversight:
- Coordinate with technical and provincial teams for effective program implementation.
- Update work plans, manage spending plans, and assist in risk management and internal controls.
4. Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare and submit comprehensive progress reports, ensuring quality and adherence to timelines.
- Contribute to knowledge management by documenting key lessons and best practices.
5. Stakeholder Engagement and Communication:
- Foster relationships with provincial and district stakeholders, including government officials, NGOs, and health authorities.
- Work closely with the communications team to align project messaging, branding, collection of success stories and reporting.
6. Monitoring, Evaluation, and Adaptation:
- Support data collection and documentation for monitoring and evaluation.
- Adapt implementation strategies based on performance analysis to achieve project results.
7. Financial and Administrative Oversight:
- Manage provincial-level financial, operational, and administrative processes in compliance with USAID standards.
8. Additional Responsibilities:
- Undertake other duties as assigned by the COP and DCOP.
Qualifications:
- MBBS is mandatory, MBBS with MPH or any other Masters in health related field will be preferred.
- Minimum 8 years experience in TB / Communicable disease control programs in Pakistan.
- Experience with USAID-funded health projects is highly desirable.
- Skilled in program management, monitoring, evaluation, and research.
- Strong understanding of Sindh’s socio-economic and political context.
- Proven ability in stakeholder relationship management.
- Extensive development experience in Sindh, with knowledge of local languages and norms.
- Competent in programmatic and donor reporting.
- Exceptional leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in English and local languages.
- Willingness to travel within the province and to other locations as needed.
- Demonstrates adaptability, leadership, problem-solving, integrity, resilience, and attention to detail in all aspects of work.
