Job Overview:
We are looking for a highly organized and proactive Media and Production Assistant to support our media and production teams in creating high-quality content. This role involves assisting with the logistics, coordination, and technical aspects of media production, including managing equipment, supporting shoots, and helping with post-production tasks. The ideal candidate will have a passion for media production, an eye for detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Camera Operation:
- Operate video cameras and other filming equipment to capture footage for a variety of projects, including promotional videos, interviews, events, documentaries, etc.
- Set up and adjust cameras, lighting, and audio equipment to ensure high-quality footage.
- Work closely with the director or project lead to understand the vision and execute shots according to the creative brief.
- Ensure all footage is captured according to technical standards and organizational requirements.
- Manage camera settings for optimal shot quality, including exposure, focus, and white balance.
Video Editing:
- Edit raw footage into polished, engaging video content using video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, etc.).
- Collaborate with the creative team to understand project requirements and deliver videos that meet the desired style and objectives.
- Apply sound editing, color correction, special effects, and graphics to enhance the visual and auditory appeal of the video.
- Ensure videos are delivered on time, meeting the technical specifications required for various platforms (e.g., social media, websites, presentations).
- Review and revise videos based on feedback from the team or client, ensuring high-quality final output.
Other Duties:
- Maintain and manage the video equipment, ensuring it is in good working order and ready for use.
- Assist with setting up and preparing the shooting environment, including props, lighting, and sound equipment.
- Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in video production and editing to continuously improve skills and workflows.
- Ensure all video files are properly organized, archived, and stored.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a cameraman and video editor, with a portfolio of work to showcase.
- Proficiency in using camera equipment, including DSLR, mirrorless, and cinema cameras.
- Strong knowledge of video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, etc.).
- Solid understanding of video production techniques, including lighting, composition, and sound.
- Experience with color correction, sound mixing, and special effects.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
