Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s/ master’s degree in civil engineering.
  2. Age Limit: 35-50 years.
  3. Minimum 10 years of experience in leadership or management roles within infrastructure development, planning, or project management.
  4. Ex-Armed Forces personnel, officers from the Military Engineering Services (MES), or Government officers (Civil Engineering branch) of BPS-17 or above with relevant qualifications and experience are encouraged to apply.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Infrastructure Project Management: Lead the management and supervision of infrastructure development, uplift, and maintenance for various educational projects across the country.
  2. Supervision & Execution: Oversee and supervise field teams responsible for executing civil works through contractors, ensuring adherence to project timelines, quality standards, and safety protocols.
  3. Contract Management: Formulate, review, and manage civil works-related contracts, ensuring compliance with all legal, budgetary, and operational guidelines.
  4. Advisory Role: Serve as a subject matter expert and advisor to senior leadership in the domain of infrastructure development, providing strategic insights and recommendations for improving project execution.
  5. Field Visits & Travel: Undertake extensive travel and field visits to project sites to monitor progress, address issues, and ensure the successful completion of infrastructure projects.
  6. Collaboration & Coordination: Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution, resolving any challenges that arise during construction or maintenance phases.

 

Desired Skills & Experience:

  1. Proven leadership experience in managing large-scale infrastructure projects, particularly in the education sector or similar domains.
  2. Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction management, and project planning.
  3. Experience in formulating and managing contracts, including cost estimation, budgeting, and compliance.
  4. Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills to collaborate effectively with contractors, clients, and leadership teams.
  5. Ability to lead teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

 

Additional Information:

  1. The role requires the ability to work independently, travel frequently, and handle multiple responsibilities.
  2. Candidates with military or government service backgrounds will be given preference due to their familiarity with large-scale project management and team leadership.
