About the role:

The Finance Officer will be responsible for managing the financial operations of Pak Mission Society. His/her primary role is to ensure that the financial resources are effectively utilized, financial records are accurate and up-to-date, and financial policies and procedures are followed.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Responsible for implementing financial strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure the effective and efficient use of financial resources.
  • Prepare financial statements, reports, and analyses to provide accurate and timely information to management, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities.
  • Keep accurate financial records and ledgers.
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable, including invoice processing and reconciliations.
  • Prepare and track budgets in conjunction with department heads.
  • Maintain payroll records as needed.
  • Coordinate bank reconciliations and cash management.
  • Communicate with stakeholders, such as banks, auditors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Working closely with department heads and senior management to develop budgets, track spending, and manage costs. It also includes monitoring budget performance, analyzing variances, and providing insights and recommendations.
  • Ensure adherence to financial regulations and internal policies, stay updated on accounting standards, and support internal and external audit preparation and reporting.

What we are looking for:

Education & Knowledge

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field (CPA or ACCA certification is a plus)

Work Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience (2+ years) in a finance position.

Functional Competencies/Skills:

  • Expertise in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Analytical and numerical ability.
  • Good attention to detail and high accuracy.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of tax laws and regulations that apply.
  • Capacity to work both autonomously and as a team player.

The responsibilities listed above cover most of the tasks that would be performed by the job holder in this position; however, staff may be assigned any other official tasks as and when required.
