About the International Accord

The International Accord for Health and Safety in the Textile and Garment Industry (International Accord) is an agreement between garment brands and global trade unions. The agreement builds on the 2013 and 2018 Accord on Fire and Building Safety in Bangladesh.

More than 200 garment and textile brands have signed the International Accord. Since May 2013, the Accord programs have reached over 2,000 factories employing around 2 million workers in Bangladesh. In December 2022 the Accord brands and unions agreed to establish a new program in Pakistan in 2023 which will promote worker safety through independent inspections, remediation, training programs and a worker complaints mechanism.

About Health and Safety Accord (Pvt) Ltd:

The Health and Safety Accord (Pvt) Ltd, is a subsidiary of International Accord BV, The Netherlands, established with an objective of improving health and safety conditions in the textile and garment industry.

We are currently hiring and inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Factory Scheduling Coordinator.

Compensation and Employment Terms:

We offer a dynamic, internationally oriented work environment, fringe benefits, and a competitive salary based on experience. The above positions are currently offered as a one- year renewable contract. We have offices in Karachi/Lahore and the position to be based as per preference, with frequent travels to industrial sites in other cities, across Pakistan (as and when required).

Job Description

Factory Scheduling Coordinator

The Health & Safety Accord (Pvt) Ltd. Factory Scheduling Coordinator will serve as a part of the Pakistan Accord Remediation team under the supervision of the Remediation Department Manager - Pakistan Accord and CEO or their assigned person.

The Factory Scheduling Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring inspections across Pakistan Accord - covered factories. This role ensures timely scheduling of initial, special, follow-up and other required inspections, while managing communication with factories, brands, and internal teams. It also supports Factory Remediation Coordinators to maintain accurate factories’ and inspection data and helps manage inspection and remediation processes. The role requires strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills, with experience in data management tools like Excel, Salesforce, and related data tools. A commitment to worker safety, collaboration with stakeholders, and attention to detail are essential for success in this position.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Coordinate scheduling of initial, follow-up and special inspections (Fire, Electrical, Structural, Boiler, Hazardous substances) for listed factories.

• Communicate with internal engineering teams, factories, and remediation teams to confirm inspection logistics.

• Scheduling closure verification visits, as required. Also to support CAP remediation progress.

• Maintain and update inspection trackers and databases regularly.

• Ensure timely data entry into systems such as Salesforce &/or any other relevant system/tools applicable.

• Prepare and share inspection reports and summaries with the Remediation Department Manager/CEO and relevant stakeholders.

• Provide inspection windows and respond to scheduling inquiries from stakeholders.

• Recommend improvements to inspection procedures and scheduling practices.

• Identify and report any issues, obstacles, or challenges related to the execution of remediation/corrective action plans.

• Collaborate with the Accord training and complaints handling teams, as needed.

• Perform any other duties assigned by the Accord leadership.

Qualifications and Skills:

Minimum Requirements and Skills:

• Minimum Graduate in a relevant field. Master’s degree (MBA/MS/M.Phil.) from a recognized university.

• Minimum 5-6 years’ experience in inspection support or a similar coordination role.

• Strong organizational and recordkeeping skills.

• Proficient in MS Office, Google Suite, and inspection data platforms.

• Having good skills in data management tools/software like salesforce &/or any other relevant.

• Excellent verbal and written communication in English.

• Strong interpersonal skills to liaise with brands, factory management, and internal teams.

• Ability to work under pressure and manage competing deadlines.

• High integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.

• Analytical mindset with problem-solving capability.

• Able to work independently and collaboratively in a diverse team environment.

• High level of professionalism, integrity, and commitment to the objectives of the Pakistan Accord.
