Purpose of the Position

The M&E and Reporting Officer will be responsible for ensuring effective monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of project activities, outputs, and outcomes. The position will support data management, analysis, and documentation to enhance evidence-based decision-making and donor reporting.

2. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement M&E plans, tools, and frameworks aligned with project objectives.
  • Collect, verify, and analyze quantitative and qualitative data from the field.
  • Maintain accurate databases and ensure timely data entry, validation, and analysis.
  • Prepare high-quality progress reports, success stories, and case studies for internal and external audiences.
  • Track project indicators, assess performance against targets, and identify lessons learned.
  • Support baseline, midline, and endline assessments as required.
  • Conduct regular field monitoring visits and provide feedback for program improvement.
  • Coordinate with program teams to ensure timely submission of data and reports.
  • Present data findings in user-friendly formats (charts, dashboards, summaries).
  • Ensure data quality, confidentiality, and adherence to organizational M&E standards.
  • Prepare reports for internal use and donor submission.

3. Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Statistics, Development Studies, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in M&E, data analysis, and reporting.
  • Strong report writing skills and ability to translate data into clear, concise narratives.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); knowledge of data tools such as Kobo, Power BI, or SPSS is an asset.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

4. Deliverables

  • Monthly and quarterly M&E reports with data analysis and key findings.
  • Updated indicator tracking tables (ITT).
  • Case studies and success stories highlighting project impact.
  • Recommendations for program improvement based on monitoring results.

5. Code of Conduct and Ethics

  • The MEAL Officer is expected to adhere to the organization’s Code of Conduct, PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) policy, Child Protection policy, and other safeguarding standards. Integrity, confidentiality, and impartiality are mandatory in all aspects of the role.
