Job Summary
Background:
Aga Khan Health Service, Pakistan (AKHS,P) operates one of the largest not-for-profit private healthcare systems in the country, focusing on the regions of Gilgit-Baltistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, and Sindh. AKHS,P works to improve access to quality healthcare, particularly for hard-to-reach populations, through outreach clinics, training of community midwives, screening for non-communicable diseases, and innovative digital health solutions.
Position Summary:
Aga Khan Health Service, Pakistan (AKHS,P) is seeking competent and dedicated Data Collectors for Gilgit, Astore, Diamer, Ghanche, Kharmang, Shigar, and Skardu to support field-based data collection activities for health assessments and surveys. The Data Collectors will be responsible for gathering accurate and reliable information from health facilities and communities using both digital and paper-based tools. They will ensure adherence to data collection protocols, ethical standards, and project timelines.
The ideal candidates should possess strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in field settings under supervision.
Roles and Responsibilities

Attend training sessions to familiarize with data collection protocols and tools.

Follow ethical principles and guidelines during all stages of data collection.

Ensure accurate and complete data collection and entry in digital formats, avoiding any missing information.

Meet deadlines to complete the assessment within the defined timeline.

Collect data using both paper-based forms and digital tools as required.

Maintain detailed log sheets to record and track field activities.

Identify and address missing data (if any) by contacting participants or health facilities as per protocol.

Communicate regularly with the supervisor regarding progress and challenges in the data collection process.

Provide timely feedback and report any field-related issues to the assessment team.

Submit data and progress reports promptly to the project team as required.
Qualification and Experience

Bachelor’s degree with relevant research or data collection experience (nursing, midwifery, or related background will be preferred).

Minimum of one year of relevant experience in healthcare or research (preferred).

Familiarity with digital tools and devices (tablets, mobile phones, laptops).

Proficiency in computer applications including Microsoft Office, Excel, REDCap, Kobo, and other relevant software.

Ability to learn quickly, follow instructions, and adhere to protocols.

Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent communication skills and demonstrable professional integrity.

Ability to conduct interviews and provide clear oral instructions to respondents.
