Job Title:                                                                    Business Coordinator (Female)

Job Purpose:                                                             The Business Coordinator will support implementation of enterprise development, market linkage, and business capacity–building activities for micro and small enterprises—particularly women in the target regions. The role focuses on coordinating field interventions, supporting training delivery, strengthening market access, and ensuring effective stakeholder engagement under the Enterprise Acceleration Program (EAP).

Position Summary:

The Business Coordinator (female) will support operational planning, field coordination, supervision of mobilizers, and smooth execution of project activities across assigned clusters.
They will work closely with microbusinesses, trainers, district stakeholders, and private sector partners to ensure high-quality delivery of business development, digital literacy, climate-smart enterprise, market access, and financial inclusion interventions.

Reporting & Supervision

The Business Mobilizer will report to the Project Coordinator / Team Lead and will work closely with the technical experts, MEL team, and other project staff.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and coordinate field-level activities implemented by Business Mobilizers.
  • Supervise mobilization of target microbusinesses, women entrepreneurs, and youth in assigned clusters.
  • Conduct regular joint field visits to monitor progress, validate data, and identify gaps in service delivery.
  • Support cluster validation, stakeholder mapping, and identification of local business opportunities.
  • Facilitate baseline, midline, and endline assessments in coordination with the MEL team.
  • Coordinate training schedules for business management, digital literacy, financial inclusion, climate literacy, and product development.
  • Ensure quality implementation of all trainings, workshops, and coaching sessions.
  • Review, support, and approve Business Development Plans (BDPs) developed by participants.
  • Provide technical support on bookkeeping, costing, pricing, market research, and cashflow management.
  • Facilitate adoption of digital platforms for marketing, online sales, and digital payments.
  • Build and maintain relationships with chambers of commerce, business associations, wholesalers, retailers, aggregators, and potential buyers.
  • Facilitate business-to-business (B2B) meetings, buyer–seller linkage events, and enterprise showcases.
  • Coordinate participation of entrepreneurs in exhibitions, trade fairs, and exposure visits.
  • Support product diversification, branding, labeling, packaging, and quality improvement interventions.
  • Coordinate with banks, microfinance institutions, government schemes, and grant providers to support financial inclusion.
  • Assist entrepreneurs in completing documentation required for loans or grant applications.
  • Facilitate awareness sessions on financial products, savings, and responsible borrowing.
  • Review and consolidate reports submitted by Business Mobilizers.
  • Maintain detailed records including mobilization lists, training data, coaching logs, progress reports, and photographic evidence.
  • Provide weekly, monthly, and quarterly updates to the Project Coordinator / Team Lead.
  • Document case studies, success stories, market linkage achievements, and field learnings.
  • Ensure compliance with project gender, inclusion, and safeguarding requirements.
  • Represent the organization in district-level meetings and coordination forums.
  • Ensure full participation of women and youth in all program activities.
  • Perform any other tasks assigned by the supervisor relevant to achievement of project objectives.

Experience

  • Minimum 4–5 years of experience in business development, entrepreneurship support, or community/business mobilization.
  • Strong networking and community engagement skills.
  • Experience supporting women-led or home-based businesses.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

 

 

Skills & Competencies

  • Knowledge of business management, digital tools, and market linkages.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Computer literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, data collection apps).
  • Fluency in spoken Urdu; local languages of Punjab/Sindh are an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned district.

 

Excellent writing and communications skills in English required.

Qualification / Knowledge

A Bachelor's degree or higher from a recognized university in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Social Sciences, or a related field.

Higher Qualification in the Requisite Disciplines Preferred.
