 A national non-profit organization operating in Peshawar - KP, is looking for qualified, dedicated and experienced individuals to fill the following Positions for a donor-funded short-term project of WASH & Shelter, in Peshawar-KP.

Senior Project Engineer (1 Position) 

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s in Civil/Environmental Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in WASH/shelter infrastructure projects.
  • Expertise in technical design, BoQ preparation, and contract management.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, GIS, or engineering software.
  • Experience coordinating with government stakeholders and NGOs.
  • Knowledge of local construction standards and Pashto language skills (preferred).

Job Description:

  • Assist Project Manager in the development & implementation of detailed activity plans, schedules, and budgets for project activities.
  • Oversee the technical design and ensure quality construction and rehabilitation of Shelter and WASH infrastructure.
  • Coordinate the distribution of cash grants and in-kind support for Shelter &WASH improvements.
  • Supervise technical assessments for WASH and Shelter interventions along with HLP due diligence in target areas.
  • Provide technical guidance and support for the implementation of shelter activities, including the construction and repair of shelters.
  • Ensure that shelter &WASH designs meet safety, accessibility, and environmental sustainability standards.
  • Engage with government authorities, local organizations, and community representatives to facilitate project activities.
  • Maintain regular communication and coordination with relevant stakeholders, including SAFRON, CCAR, CAR, PHED KP and local municipal authorities.
  • Assist the project team in monitoring and evaluation to track the progress and outcomes of technical activities.
  • Conduct regular field visits to monitor the quality and progress of Shelter & WASH interventions.
  • Conduct community consultations to inform them about shelter and WASH project planning and implementation.
  • Establish and manage a complaint and feedback mechanism to address community concerns related to project activities.
  • Ensure compliance with donor policies, procedures, and standards in all shelter & WASH activities.
  • Ensure that all Shelter and WASH activities promote climate resilience and environmental sustainability.
  • Facilitate training sessions for masons &construction workers.
  • Document and disseminate lessons learned and best practices to improve project performance.
