Civil Society Human & Institutional Development Programme (CHIP-NPO) is a value led organization that has made its mark in the development sector all over Pakistan. We are looking for enthusiastic/energetic candidate/s for the below mentioned position.

MEL Officer (at Layyah)

• Bachelor’s Degree in Administration, Information Management, IT
• 1 to 3 years of Monitoring and Evaluation experience (essential)
• Capacity to produce high-quality briefs and reports
• Good level of proficiency in Windows Excel and quantitative analysis
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Experience in a non-governmental organization

The required skill set includes:

• Support all M&E initiatives for assigned grant(s)/project(s) including monitoring data quality, uploading and tracking the progress of activities on the PYLI LMS, and contributing to staff capacity building initiatives as necessary.
• Support the project team in creating a framework and procedures for the monitoring and evaluation of project activities.
• Support the Project coordinator in defining and implementing the key project performance indicators (KPI) as well as monitoring them throughout the duration of the projects.
• Support project/program staff on ways to properly document, organize and capture program progress.
• Draft tools and their revisions as well as data collection procedures under the supervision of the M&E lead internally and externally (e.g., logical framework, project performance tracking, indicators, data flow chart, and M&E manuals).
• Suggest ways to facilitate data collection and the flow of data within Program field teams as per the guidelines of the donor.
• Identify strengths and weaknesses in existing data collection and management systems and propose solutions.
• Perform regular field visits to ensure the quality of data collected by Programs and to verify the accuracy of reported data.
• Support the project unit to ensure that donor, partner, and Senior Management data queries are addressed in an accurate and timely manner.
• Support and participate in program and project evaluations.

Computer skills and good verbal and written communication preferred. Priority would be given to persons having command on English, Urdu and Punjabi/Siraiki languages. Work Experience in an NGO/INGO would be preferred. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Able to work independently and work as a team and commitment to comply with the mission and values of CHIP;
• Being from the project area/having lived and worked in the project area is an added advantage;
• Commitment to follow Human Rights and ensure protection principles in all project activities;
• Willingness to learn and ability to work efficiently and effectively with a wide variety of people;
• Willing to travel to CHIP field areas;

Fixed Term - 10 months

Job Location
Islamabad and Layyah with possible travel to other project areas of CHIP
